Rear Brakes

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Went there for an oil change had a $17.95 coupon but it took another quart so they wanted to charge another $20. .. .the General manager was .there and heard my conversation and waived the charges. Its in the FINE PRINT. Extra charge. Then I was told I needed my rear brakes replaced with flushing the lines and adding new fluids cost of $403.61. I declined. I immediately went to a business who specializes in brake repairs. They took a look at it. They said I could drive another 30,000 miles and that my brakes are fine no replacement needed. Watch out for this place....I would never go back to Drivers Auto Repair. Im also a female so I do beleive they try to take advantage and suggest you need repairs when in fact you don't.

Wonderful

I realize there are a lot of negative reviews but I think they are trying to make some positive changes at least at the kuykendahl location. They remodeled the waiting area with a coffee bar and the staff is super friendly. As for car repair, i only had an oil change and filters changed, but the next morning I couldn’t start my car, and I called thinking it might have been something they did. The manager asked for my address and immediately sent a mechanic Steven to my house. It was my battery that was bad. He charged it and never asked for a dime. I think that was an unexpected kindness on their part.

NEVER GO HERE

I wish I could give a NEGATIVE amount of stars these people are that bad! After $6000 worth of work when the ONLY problem was the car would randomly shut off during driving some how now several more thousand dollar worth of repairs is needed AGAIN because they screwed the car up more than EVER!

The car can’t go above 60 mph and things that were NEVER a problem now are a huge problem!! So if you want to lose THOUSANDS and have a car in WORSE shape than it was when you brought it in then yes allow these idiots to work on your car! So these *** drove the *** out of my car put *** in the engine then said the catalytic converter is messed up so I was forced to take the car else where and the second I took it to Midas they said you have *** in a cylinder funny because the guys at Drivers NEVER mentioned it yet had my car for just shy of a week and took the motor apart... funny how dirty scammers keep businesses running isn’t it!

My car is now totaled out so I lost all my money and car because of them. NEVER EVER GO HERE!

Never again

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had an A/C issue with my 2010 Dodge Challenger that was supposed to have been repaired in November of 2016. Not four or five months later I took it back in for the exact same issue and was then told it was a different issue and needed to have the compressor and water pump replaced.

Both of these trips cost over $1800 total. Within the past few weeks I had the exact same issue happen again only this time the car also began to overheat when the A/C was on. I took it back and told them I wasn't happy to have it back in for the third time in about 20 months with the same issue and also told them I expected the warranty to cover the repairs. I was called back eventually and told it was a completely separate issue that included a coolant leak that was going to end up costing almost $1700.

I went and picked up my car, have since had three other business take a look to see what the issue was and all three of them definitively said it was a faulty water pump -- the same one Driver's was supposed to have replaced about 14 months prior. At two of the locations I was actually walked in and shown the issue and where the leak was coming from -- a very cheap clamp that lost it's grip around a radiator hose. Nowhere close to what Driver's was claiming was causing a leak.

Never, never take your vehicle here. This place finds something different wrong with vehicles every single time it is there and they take every opportunity to overcharge for repairs that others can do much cheaper or repairs that aren't even necessary.

I only want repaired what needs to be repaired -- I don't want to be "sold" unnecessary repairs.

I have emailed their corporate office and we'll see if they respond. Based on the other negative reviews I have seen, I am not expecting much.

Bogus Bulk Mail

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

It seem Drivers Co., has purchased an 18 year old mailing list for their bulk mail-out adds. My wife has been deceased for 20 years, and has never lived at my current address. In fact my current address was a vacant field till 2004. After she passed it took me 6 years to get all of the bogus bulk mailing's in her name to stop coming to me. Now it seem that some advertising company has started selling the very old mailing list! My current wife is not happy about this!!! How can I get the name of CHERYL DERRICO OFF OF THE MAINLING LIST!!!

Driver's Co. should research who they purchase advertising from.

I TRIED TO CONTACT DIVERS CUST. CARE# 281-407-**** HOWEVER, IT IS NOT A WORKING#.

I TRIED CONTACING TWO REPAIR CENTERS, THEY DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY, AND TOLD ME THERE IS NO MAIN OFFICE, GO TO THE WEB SITE !!

Bad attitude

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I bought an oil change 5-pack last year. I called to make an appointment for an oil change at 4pm.

I drove 30 minutes to get to the shop. The place is empty, and I don't see any mechanics working. The person helping me is Michael, he has a big tattoo on left arm. He told me that it will take one hour to get it done.

I said "fine", and came back with lock wheel and ask for rotate tires. He said " it will take an hour and a half. I said "fine". And he said" I look at the records, and some how for the past year, you have 30 free oil changes, and this is going to be the last one I will service you".

I asked him " are you accused me to cheat on your company?". He got upset with me and bad attitude toward me . I told him " If you accused me of cheating on you ,and you will get it". In a meant time, a customer walked in , I try to explain to the customer, Michael(employee) gave me the key and refused the service and said "get out of my place."...I really don't know what's going on with this company the hired the rude employee like this one(Michael @ fm242 location).

I never seen him before......I visit 3 locations(Conroe, Spring, fm242) in the past 5 years. Every time I visited, they always pushed me to purchase 5-pack deal and give me extra oil changes for the same day if I purchased in the same day.

If the company continue hired the employee like Michael, they will have a big problem.

Now, I don't know what to do with my 5-pack deal?. I have 3 more oil changes that I haven't been used.

AVOID THIS PLACE.

AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU CAN BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT TRUSTWORTHY. THE MANAGER IS INCOMPETENT AND DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT HE IS DOING.

I was pressured to but their 5 Oil changed package the last time I took my wife's car there for an Oil change and I decided to take my other car there for an Oil change as well. Big mistake. Got my car back and they broke the hood latch and the grill holder of my car. The Manager gave all kinds of excuse and even said he is sure someone bumped by car and broke it when the car has no sign of being bumped. Told him i just had my windshield changed the day before and the latch and the grill was fine but he did not agree ...So I have to look for a way to replace those now.

I just pray now that they did not touch any other part in the engine to break it.

Last time they will see me there. Wish I can rate them zero star

What a rip off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I took my 1997 Dodge Caravan an to have the power steering hose replaced they gave me two estimates 1 for $310 and then one for $506 the second one included flushing the power steering system which I chose not to do they called me and told me that the work was completed and that I needed to pick up my van when I arrived the bill was$406 when I asked about the difference in the bill and the quote I was told by Eric that since I did notpurchase the $149 flush that I was being charged the diagnostic charge also.

I said if you do the repairs don't you waive the diagnostic fee Eric said that is only if you get everything we recomend.

Liars & Theives

Use to take my car to the College Park location in Conroe, TX for oil change, then management changed. I had a hose leak, so I told them I would be back on that, but I actually had my husband take care of it.

The next time I went in for an oil change, they tried to tell me the same thing was wrong with my brand new hose, even had me come look at it and show me how "soft" it was when they pressed on it, so it needed to be replaced & they wanted to charge me way more then the dealer.... They must have thought me being female I would not know that when a hose is hot it's gonna be soft....morons!

I totally called them out on it in the middle of their shop, and never went back. I absolutely hate this place and hope they lose business.

They will cheat you

My pregnant wife took our mercedes amg here to purchase a new tire. These *** sold us a used tire as a new tire. I had to replace it one month after buying it since they dont cover it under warranty. Not only that, my wife was charged way more than a brand new tire was worth. Save your money and your time from dealing with these fools.

Drivers Auto Repair Cypress, Texas

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I wanted let everyone know about my terrible experience with Drivers Auto Repair here in Cypress. I needed someone to replace the water pump on my daughter’s car, I would have done it myself but I was traveling for work.

I dropped the car off to them before I left town. They confirmed the water pump needed to be replaced and gave me a price to replace it. The price was very high for that repair (over $1,000.00), but I didn’t have a choice as I was leaving town and my daughter had to have the car. Also they tried to sell me a bunch more items that I did not need, but I was very clear in telling them to ONLY replace the water pump and refill the car with coolant.

After they completed the repair my daughter picked up the car and everything seemed OK, except for the fact that they performed a coolant flush (an additional $150.00) on the vehicle when I had clearly told them to ONLY replace the water pump and re-fill the coolant. I returned home a few days later to find the car leaking oil in my driveway. Drivers Auto Repair had damaged the axel boot while replacing the water pump. I also noticed at that time the water pump pulley they installed only had 3 bolts holding it to the water pump (it requires 4 bolts).

I called them and took the car back to their shop and they agreed to replace the axel and put the forth bolt in the pulley that they had left out at no charge. A couple of days later the same wheel they replaced the axle on was about ready to fall off the car and making grinding noises. The wheel bearing was damaged when they replaced the axle. They said it’s not their fault, but it clearly is.

They even performed a full vehicle inspection when I dropped the vehicle off with them the first time, and there was no mention of a potential failure of the wheel bearing. It costs $330 for a new wheel bearing. We picked the car up and my daughter says the air conditioning doesn’t work. I took it to another shop (not Drivers Auto Repair) and they said it doesn’t have a Freon leak.

They said it looks like someone deliberately let Freon out of the air conditioning system. You can judge for yourself, I say they are dishonest and incompetent.

Oh and don’t forget to check their google reviews and not the fake reviews they have on their website. Thanks and have a great day.

Not professional techs

DO NOT GET ANYTHING OTHER THAN OIL CHANGE DONE HERE. I used to love this location for a quick oil change.

On Jon's (Manager?) recommendation got brake job done on our both vehicles. Ever since this job the vehicle makes a constant rubbing and squeaking sounds. Took back twice the issue not fixed. Even last time ONE OF THE FRONT WHEEL LUG NUT WAS NOT INSTALLED.

Finally took the vehicle to the dealer and after another $400 later the dealer tech said the correct spec pads and shims were not used originally by Drivers and the pads were not giving a full contact to the rotor.

Never ever for another job at this or any Drivers location. Customers beware!!!

Very bad experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I took my car due to an engine light on; they "fixed" it, and two days later light was on again. I took it again, they "fixed" it and charged me again, and 2 days later light was on again.

When i brought it they said they needed to charge diagnose again ($140) because the issue was different. I took my car to a different company for a second opinion, and the computer showed the problem to be something that the original shop claimed they had already fixed.

Now I am stuck with the same engine light on and I already spent $700. Wish there was a territory supervisor who could help me out
